Refrigeration Engineer - Covering North Yorkshire Salary: £50,784.36 Basic + Standby Payments + Overtime + Bonus Opportunities We are currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities and refrigeration maintenance provider, working across a prestigious retail contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer seeking a stable role with strong earning potential through standby payments, overtime, and additional performance incentives. The Role As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment * Diagnosing and repairing faults on refrigeration systems, cold rooms, integral cabinets, and associated plant * Ensuring all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards * Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required * Maintaining accurate service records and reports * Building strong working relationships with site teams and customers * Participating in the on-call rota Requirements * NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent * Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification * Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Experience within retail, supermarket, or commercial environments desirable * Full UK Driving Licence Package & Benefits Basic Salary * £50,784.36 per annum * Based on a 45-hour working week Standby Allowance * 1 in 4 on-call rota * £195 per standby week * Overtime paid where applicable Additional On-Call Cover Engineers who provide additional weekend on-call cover will receive: * £150 per individual weekend day covered * Overtime paid at standard rates for any call-outs attended Additional Performance Incentive Work 6 additional days beyond the standard 13 weekend on-call requirement and receive a £500 customer bonus.
