Job Title Calibrations & Controls Engineer Summary We’re seeking a Calibrations & Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organisation based on-site in Glasgow. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong expertise in instrumentation, calibration, and process control systems. Responsibilities Develop and maintain calibration systems and schedules in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF16949:2016 standards Perform and supervise calibration for process instruments such as weighing, flow, level, temperature, pH, conductivity, and density Analyse calibration data, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions or process improvements Specify, source, and validate new instrumentation and control equipment Troubleshoot calibration and process control issues alongside production and quality teams Provide technical support for automation systems including Allen Bradley Logix, Siemens S7 PLCs, GE IFIX SCADA, and HMIs Maintain thorough documentation of calibration activities and system changes Train operations and maintenance staff on calibration procedures and control systems Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements Monitor emerging calibration technologies for potential adoptionMust-have Requirements BEng/MEng in Electrical, Process Control, or related field Proven experience in calibration and process control engineering in manufacturing or chemical processing Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electro-mechanical instrumentation Familiarity with analytical instruments and standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949:2016) Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA (GE IFIX), and process data tools (Aspen Process Explorer, IP21) Competent user of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Oracle JD Edwards) Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaborativelyNice-to-have Skills Additional industry-related training or certifications Experience implementing new calibration technologiesBenefits Health insurance and healthcare package 25 days holiday plus 4 additional days Employee development through training and courses Supportive team culture with a flat structure valuing ownership and ideas The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
