Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - Residential Housebuilding Location - Preston Salary/Package - £45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits Package About the Company Our client is an established and highly regarded private housebuilder delivering high-quality residential developments across the North West. As part of their continued expansion, they are now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple residential developments. The Role As Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for: Assisting with the commercial management of new build housing developments from procurement through to final account Preparing and managing subcontractor enquiries, orders, and accounts Producing applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accounts Preparing accurate CVRs, forecasts, and cost reports Monitoring project budgets and ensuring effective cost control Procuring subcontractors and negotiating competitive packages Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities Working closely with Site Managers, Buyers, Technical Teams, and senior commercial staff Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants Ensuring commercial procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle The Ideal Candidate The successful Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will have: Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential housebuilding sector Alternatively, experience with a Main Contractor looking to move into housebuilding will also be considered Strong commercial awareness and cost management experience Knowledge of subcontract procurement and account management Experience producing CVRs, valuations, and final accounts Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills A proactive and commercially driven approach Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management Full UK Driving Licence What's on Offer Competitive basic salary of £45,000 - £55,000 Attractive benefits package Opportunity to join a growing and well-respected private housebuilder Exposure to high-quality residential developments across the North West Long-term career progression within an expanding commercial team Ongoing professional development and mentoring Supportive and collaborative working environment Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
