Primary Teaching Assistant - Lewisham Remedy Education are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a primary school setting. The schools are looking for confident, proactive and nurturing candidates who can support pupils in class, work with small groups and provide 1:1 support where needed. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, graduate, aspiring teacher, or someone with strong childcare, tutoring or youth work experience. Role Details: Position: Primary Teaching Assistant Location: Lewisham Pay: £100-£117 per day Hours: Full-time Start Date: ASAP / September roles available School Type: Primary School The Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will: * Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 * Work with pupils on a 1:1, small group and whole-class basis * Assist the class teacher with learning activities and classroom routines * Support pupils with literacy, numeracy, phonics and creative learning * Help maintain positive behaviour and engagement in lessons * Support pupils with different abilities, including those with additional needs * Help create a calm, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment * Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Previous experience working with children or young people * Experience in a school, nursery, tutoring, childcare or youth work setting is desirable * A patient, positive and reliable approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs * A genuine interest in education and child development * An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one This is a great opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant looking to build experience and make a real difference within schools across Lewisham.
