The business provides integrated consultancy services across the built environment, delivering projects from concept through to completion. Their Building Services division works across a diverse portfolio of developments, including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, regeneration and mixed-use schemes, providing sustainable and technically innovative Mechanical and Electrical engineering solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership, manage key client relationships and lead the successful delivery of Mechanical Building Services projects across a broad range of sectors.The Role As a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll take a leading role within the Mechanical Building Services team, managing projects from feasibility through to completion while providing technical leadership to engineers and technicians. Depending on your level of experience, you'll act as either the lead Mechanical Engineer or support the leadership of major projects, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver innovative, coordinated and commercially successful engineering solutions. - Lead the Mechanical design and delivery of Building Services projects across multiple sectors. \n
- Act as the lead Mechanical Engineer, taking responsibility for concept and detailed design. \n
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating Mechanical, Electrical and specialist design input. \n
- Develop Mechanical Building Services designs, calculations, reports, specifications and technical documentation. \n
- Carry out design reviews and quality assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements. \n
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing a high level of technical support and advice. \n
- Advise clients on energy efficiency, sustainability and low-carbon design strategies. \n
- Undertake Mechanical design calculations using industry-standard software, including Hevacomp and IES where appropriate. \n
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors and other consultants throughout project delivery. \n
- Attend client, design and technical meetings. \n
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, British Standards and health & safety legislation. \n
- Mentor, manage and develop junior engineers and apprentices. \n
- Support business development and contribute to the continued growth of the Mechanical Building Services team. \n

- Significant experience within Mechanical Building Services Design. \n
- Consultancy or contractor design background. \n
- Experience leading Mechanical Building Services projects. \n
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and Mechanical Building Services systems. \n
- Degree, HNC or HND qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. \n
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or actively working towards Chartership. \n
- Experience with industry-standard design software including Revit, AutoCAD, Hevacomp and IES. \n
- Excellent client-facing, leadership and communication skills. \n
- Strong commercial awareness and project management ability. \n
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineers. \n
