Night Support Worker Vacancy

A reputable housing charity is currently recruiting for a Night Support Worker in the Hertfordshire area. This would be a temporary to permanent contract and you’ll be required to work 42 hours per week.

Length: 3 months Temporary to permanent

Hours: 48 hours a week, Night shifts - 8:30pm - 8:45am on a 4 on 4 off basis

Location: Hatfield or Welwyn Garden City

Pay: £15 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday pay)

The role involves:

• Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostel
\n
• Controlling access to the building
\n
• Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents
\n
• Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour
\n
• Dealing with health and safety issues
\n
• Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered
\n
• Contacting the "on call" manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
\n
• Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable
\n
• Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise
\n

Additional requirements:

\n
• Experience in a similar position working night shifts
\n
• UK Drivers License
\n
• An enhanced DBS ideally from within three years or willingness to obtain one
\n
• Experience working with vulnerable clients
\n
