Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Job Title: Senior Electrical Project Engineer Location: Ipswich Salary: £75,000 + Car allowance + 11.5% pension The Role: - Overseeing the Electrical package for the project from pre-construction phase all the way through to handover - Must have operations experience - Managing Electrical sub-contractors Inc. specialists - Overseeing the Electrical Supervisors/Site Managers - Liaising with Mechanical engineers & Managers - Managing interfaces with existing client facilities - Procurement (managing material levels and working with suppliers) - Production of RAMS and paperwork associated with construction processes and procurement - Reporting to the Senior Project Manager The Company: - Top 3 UK tier 1 contractor - Project values in excess of £20 million pounds - This company has a turnover of £4.5 billion - This hire is due to the company winning a large number of MOD contracts - The company has £16 billion pounds worth of work in the pipeline for 2026/2027 The Ideal Candidate: - Will have 5+ years’ experience in the Electrical industry - Will have previous experience working as an Electrical Construction/Site Manager - Will have previous experience working on commercial projects. - Will hold a JIB/Skill card & SSSTS/SMSTS - Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines - Will have excellent communication skills - Will be able to Commute to Ipswich What You’ll Get: - A salary in the region of £75K - Car allowance - 11.5% pension - 26 days holiday + 8 statutory with then opportunity to buy and sell - Career progression opportunities - Private healthcare Process: - Apply for the job - We will then call you to discuss the role - If we think you would be a good fit and you’re happy, we will submit you to be considered for the role - If the client likes the sound of you, they will invite you for an interview - If successful in the interview process, you will be offered the job
