Lead / Senior Quantity Surveyor Glasgow First People Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and highly respected main contractor based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of design & build, refurbishment and new-build projects across the education, healthcare, commercial and public sectors throughout Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams and senior management to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Managing the commercial performance of multiple design & build and construction projects Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and accounts Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities Supporting operational teams throughout project delivery Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships Ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual and financial objectivesRequirements: Minimum 5 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying role, ideally with a main contractor delivering design & build, refurbishment or new-build projects Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline Experience operating at Senior QS level or ready to step into a senior role Strong contractual and commercial awareness Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Full UK driving licence What's on Offer: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Secure pipeline of diverse projects across Scotland Opportunity to work on high-profile education, healthcare, commercial and public sector developments Supportive and collaborative working environment Clear opportunities for career progression If you would be interested in discussing the opportunity further, apply now or get in touch for a confidential conversation.
