Electrical Test Engineer / EICR Engineer London / South East Up to £50,000 basic salary + overtime + company van + benefits Realistic earnings of £60,000–£70,000+ with overtime An established electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to carry out EICRs, inspection and testing, and associated remedial works across commercial sites throughout London and the South East. Working with high-quality commercial clients and prestigious environments, this role would suit someone who takes pride in accurate reporting, professional conduct and completing testing to a high standard—not someone who wants to rush through reports simply to hit numbers. The Role You will be responsible for: * Carrying out EICRs across commercial properties * Completing inspection and testing accurately and professionally * Producing clear, detailed and compliant reports * Identifying defects and coding observations correctly * Carrying out remedial works where required * Liaising professionally with clients, site teams and internal management * Working safely and efficiently across occupied commercial environments * Maintaining high standards of workmanship and documentation What We're Looking For: We are looking for a Test Engineer who is: Experienced in commercial EICRs Confident with inspection, testing and reporting Accurate with paperwork and certification Able to work independently Professional, reliable and client-facing Quality-focused rather than speed-focused Willing to work overtime to maximise earnings Essential Requirements * 18th Edition, 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification * Experience carrying out EICRs * Strong knowledge of BS 7671 * Full UK driving licence * Good communication skills * Ability to complete reports accurately and on time Desirable (but not essential) * Experience within commercial and high-end environments * Experience carrying out remedial works * IPAF and/or PASMA * Experience working on compliance contracts Package * Basic salary up to £50,000 depending on experience * Plenty of overtime available * Realistic earnings of £60,000–£70,000+ for those wanting additional hours * Company van & Fuel card * Private medical insurance * Medicash health plan * Company pension * Access to pension support and financial guidance * Two complimentary financial adviser sessions * Ongoing technical training and development * Support with further qualifications * Genuine progression opportunities into testing, compliance, supervision or QS positions Why Apply?
