Job Description

Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer Location: London Salary: Up to £48,000 (depending on experience) We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer to join a growing team covering London. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in servicing, fault finding and small works who enjoys working across a variety of commercial sites, predominantly retail stores. The Role As a Fire Alarm Service & Small Works Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and small installation works on a range of fire safety systems. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems. * Service emergency lighting systems. * Service fire extinguishers (experience preferred but not essential as full training can be provided). * Attend reactive call-outs to diagnose and rectify system faults. * Complete small remedial works identified during servicing or reactive visits. * Replace fire alarm control panels, detectors and install additional devices on existing systems. * Conduct site surveys and install new fire alarm systems where required. * Complete service reports and certification accurately, making recommendations for any remedial works. * Participate in a 1-in-6 call-out rota. Requirements * Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems. * Experience fault finding and carrying out small works. * Good knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment. * Emergency lighting experience is advantageous. * Fire extinguisher servicing experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. * Full UK driving licence. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
