Cover Supervisor

Bright Star Talent is recruiting confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools throughout Birmingham. Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with experience working with young people, we have flexible opportunities to suit your availability. We offer daily supply, short-term, long-term and permanent roles across a variety of secondary schools. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while making a real difference to students' education. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will: * Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher. * Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain engaged with their learning. * Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policies. * Support students with questions relating to the work set. * Ensure a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment. * Record attendance and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member. * Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson engagement and behaviour. * Uphold all safeguarding and school procedures. We Are Looking For * Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people. * Excellent communication and classroom management skills. * Confidence leading a classroom independently. * A positive, professional and adaptable approach. * The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff. * A genuine interest in education and supporting young people. * A degree or previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.
