About the Role\nBeckfoot Trust is seeking confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across its secondary schools in Bradford.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within one of Bradford's leading multi-academy trusts, supporting students across a range of subjects and year groups. We are recruiting for long-term placements with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-planned work while maintaining a positive, safe, and focused learning environment.
\nWe are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with strong behaviour management skills or experience working in behaviour support roles. This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, Behaviour Specialists, youth workers, sports coaches, graduates, or aspiring teachers who are passionate about supporting young people to succeed.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n

Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Deliver pre-planned lesson materials and follow teachers' instructions.
\n - \n
Maintain a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment.
\n - \n
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies and expectations.
\n - \n
Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and achievement.
\n - \n
Report any concerns or incidents to teaching staff or senior leaders.
\n - \n
Adapt confidently to different subjects, year groups, and school settings.
\n
The successful candidate will have:

Experience working with young people, either within education or in roles such as youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or behaviour support.
\n - \n
Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
\n - \n
A confident, resilient, and professional approach.
\n - \n
The ability to build positive relationships and promote high expectations.
\n - \n
Flexibility to work across a range of secondary schools within Beckfoot Trust.
\n
Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Behaviour Specialist is highly desirable but not essential. Candidates with significant experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour are encouraged to apply.
