Senior Security EngineerHybrid (2 days onsite - London) / 12-month contract / Up to £700 PD (Inside IR35) / SC ClearedRole Overview:A prestigious public sector organisation is hiring two Senior Security Engineers with experience implementing Palo Alto Networks XSIAM within an enterprise highly secure government owner corporation. This is paying up to £700 PD Inside IR 35 to be based in London 2 x PW with some flex longer term. You must have active SC clearance.You will play a key role in implementing, configuring, and managing Palo Alto Networks XSIAM to improve threat detection, incident response, security monitoring, and operational resilience.This is an excellent opportunity for a senior security professional to support a major cyber security initiative, improving automation, security analytics, and compliance with evolving Government security standards, including the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and Minimum Cyber Security Standard.Key Responsibilities:\n

• Implement and manage Palo Alto Networks XSIAM security platform
\n
• Configure security policies, rules, and monitoring capabilities
\n
• Improve threat detection, response, and security automation
\n
• Investigate security alerts and support incident response activities
\n
• Integrate security tools and enhance operational workflows
\n
• Provide technical guidance to security and IT teams
\n
• Produce security reporting and support continuous improvement
\n

Essential:\n

\n
• Strong experience within Security Operations / SOC environments
\n
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks XSIAM or similar security platforms
\n
• Strong knowledge of threat detection, monitoring, and incident response
\n
• Experience with security tooling integration and automation
\n
• Ability to analyse security incidents and identify threats
\n
• Experience working in complex or regulated environments
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
\n
• Active SC Clearance required
\n
