Your new companyWe have an excitingOpportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our experienced andTalented Engineering team in our Winchester office.Your new roleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse range of projects across sectors including education, commercial, retail, industrial and leisure. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects and clients. As a Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for designing systems that enable buildings to perform efficiently, sustainably and safely.

- Work as part of a design team delivering detailed mechanical building services designs \n
- Liaise closely with internal and external project teams, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors and contractors \n
- Attend project group and technical meetings \n
- Ensure designs comply with current legislation and health and safety requirements \n
- Advise clients and design teams on energy use, sustainability and carbon reduction strategies \n
- Design site-specific mechanical systems and equipment \n
- Oversee and support the installation of building services systems \n
- Specify maintenance and operational requirements for completed designs \n
- Use industry-standard software such as CAD and BIM (Revit) to develop designs \n
- Carry out condition surveys and produce technical reports with recommendations \n
What you'll need to succeed
\n- \n
- An accredited degree (or higher qualification) in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline \n
- Proven experience in a similar Mechanical Design role \n
- Ideally, working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional institution \n
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients and project teams \n
- A proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail \n
- Ambition and a willingness to learn and develop \n
- Experience with industry-standard software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Revit would be beneficial. \n
