Learning Support Mentor - Full Time
\nWe are seeking a motivated and supportive Learning Support Mentor to work within a Further Education setting, in Huntingdon supporting students across vocational areas such as construction and motor vehicle.
\nThis is a rewarding opportunity to help learners overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
\nThe RoleYou will work closely with teaching staff to support students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities across a variety of environments, including workshops, classrooms, and practical training settings.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with additional learning needs \n
- Support learners in practical environments, including workshops and vocational sessions \n
- Assist with notetaking, reading, and understanding learning materials \n
- Support the use of IT and assistive technologies \n
- Help students develop organisation, study skills, and independence \n
- Encourage confidence, resilience, and progression \n
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reviews \n
- Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals where required \n
About You
\n- \n
- Experience supporting young people or adults in education, care, or training \n
- Understanding of (or willingness to learn) a range of SEND needs \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills \n
- Patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships \n
- Good organisational and IT skills \n
- Interest or experience in construction and/or motor vehicle environments \n
- Ability to work both independently and within a team \n
