Project ManagerIpswichNegotiable PAYE Umbrella day rate depending on experience.A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team on a contract basis on a project in Ipswich.With a strong order book of secured infrastructure and environmental improvement projects across the South West, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business that offers long-term career stability, a supportive management structure and the chance to lead schemes that make a real impact within local communities.The RoleReporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.Key responsibilities will include:\n

• Managing projects safely, on programme and within budget
\n
• Leading Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors
\n
• Developing and maintaining project programmes
\n
• Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings
\n
• Overseeing quality assurance, ITPs and project documentation
\n
• Monitoring project performance, risks and opportunities
\n
• Working closely with commercial teams to ensure effective cost control
\n
• Coordinating design, temporary works and construction activities
\n
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Previous experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering
\n
• Strong background delivering infrastructure, flood alleviation, earthworks, drainage, highways or environmental projects
\n
• Experience managing projects under NEC contracts
\n
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
\n
• Commercial awareness and programme management experience
\n
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams
\n

Qualifications\n

\n
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
\n
• SMSTS
\n
• CSCS Card
\n
• First Aid at Work
\n
