Job Description
Key Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs (including ASD, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and complex needs) \n
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions under the direction of the class teacher \n
- Assist in implementing Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and behaviour support plans \n
- Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation using appropriate strategies \n
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual pupil needs \n
- Support pupils with personal care where required (training provided if applicable) \n
- Encourage independence, communication, and social development \n
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals \n
- Maintain accurate observations and contribute to pupil progress records \n
Essential:

- Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar) \n
- Understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices \n
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach under pressure \n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills \n
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Experience in a SEN school or specialist setting \n
- Training in Team Teach, Positive Behaviour Support, or similar approaches \n
- Knowledge of ASD, speech and language needs, or complex learning difficulties \n
- Relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) \n
