Male Teaching Assistant – SEN Support (1:1) – Year 4
\nLocation: Upton Park, E13
\nPay: £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience)
\nContract: Full-time, Long-term (Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm)
\nStart Date: September 2026
\nWe are currently recruiting for a caring, patient and committed Male Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Upton Park (E13) from September.
\nThis is a rewarding long-term opportunity supporting a Year 4 boy on a 1:1 basis. The pupil has Autism (ASD) and is classroom-based, so you will play a key role in helping him access learning, build confidence and thrive within the classroom environment.
\nThe school is a beautiful, welcoming primary school with a fantastic leadership team and genuinely supportive staff who work closely together to ensure every child receives the best possible support.
\nThe Role

- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with Autism. \n
- Supporting the child within the classroom and throughout the school day. \n
- Encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour. \n
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support. \n
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil. \n
The Ideal Candidate
\n- \n
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism, is desirable. \n
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker is beneficial. \n
- Calm, patient and nurturing approach. \n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills. \n
- Reliable, committed and able to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff. \n
