\nNew Chapter Tuition is recruiting experienced Tutors and Qualified Teachers to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition for learners aged 5–25 across Lewisham and surrounding areas.
\nThis is an opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting learners who require an individualised approach to education. Many of the young people we work with are unable to access mainstream education or require additional support due to SEND, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH needs, anxiety, school avoidance (EBSA), EHCP-linked needs, medical needs, or other barriers to learning.
About the Role\nWorking on a 1:1 basis, you will plan and deliver engaging tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs, abilities, and educational outcomes. You will build positive relationships, increase learner confidence, and support learners to achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions \n
- Support learners across Primary, KS3, GCSE and Functional Skills pathways \n
- Deliver English and Maths tuition where appropriate \n
- Adapt learning to meet individual needs, learning styles, and EHCP outcomes \n
- Build positive relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and independence \n
- Monitor learner progress and complete session reports \n
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, Local Authorities, and other professionals \n
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times \n

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or substantial tutoring experience \n
- Experience supporting children and young people with SEND \n
- Confidence delivering English and Maths tuition \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Ability to adapt learning to individual needs and abilities \n
- Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one \n
- Right to work in the UK \n
