As an SEN Teaching Assistant or 1:1 Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENDCos and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning, behavioural, emotional or physical needs.Opportunities include:

You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.What you'll need to succeed

\n
• Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or within an educational setting
\n
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
\n
• Knowledge of Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs or SEMH would be beneficial
\n
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent is desirable
\n
• Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
\n
• The ability to adapt learning and support strategies to meet individual needs
\n
• A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and succeed
\n
