About the Role\nWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Specialist to support pupils within SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools in Skelmersdale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support.
\nWorking closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external professionals, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Deliver targeted behaviour support strategies for students with SEMH needs \n
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions \n
- Support the implementation of behaviour management plans and risk assessments \n
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress \n
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams \n
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil behaviour and progress \n
- Support de-escalation and promote emotional regulation techniques \n
We are looking for someone who is:

- Experienced working with children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs \n
- Calm, resilient, and patient under pressure \n
- Confident in behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques \n
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills \n
- Passionate about supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their potential \n
- \n
- Previous experience in SEMH, SEN, or alternative provision settings (preferred) \n
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, youth work, or similar (desirable) \n
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) \n
- Right to work in the UK \n
