Job Title: Assembler

Location: Braintree - Due to location, own transport is preferred

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (45-minute unpaid lunch break)

Salary: £12.71ph + Holiday, Pension and Adecco Benefits

Contract: Temporary Ongoing (Temp to Perm Opportunity)

Role Overview

\n

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Assembler to join the Cable Shop team. This hands-on manufacturing role involves cable assembly, product testing, quality inspection and supporting production requirements. Full training will be provided.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Assemble cables and components to specification.
  • \n
  • Measure, cut, strip, crimp, solder and wrap cables.
  • \n
  • Follow work orders, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • \n
  • Carry out electrical continuity and insulation testing.
  • \n
  • Complete visual quality inspections and report defects.
  • \n
  • Work to daily production schedules and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Complete relevant production documentation when required.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
  • \n
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures and use PPE as required.
  • \n
  • Assist with general production duties.
  • \n
  • Meet productivity targets set by the department.
  • \n

Key Skills & Experience

\n
    \n
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
  • \n
  • Experience with cables, wiring or electrical components would be advantageous.
  • \n
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • \n
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn multiple processes.
  • \n
  • Physically fit with the ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting.
  • \n
  • Comfortable standing for long periods.
  • \n
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.*
