- Build a detailed understanding of the brand, customer, team and commercial model \n
- Establish a trusted working relationship with the Founder \n
- Review the P&L, cash cycle, stock position and customer economics \n
- Improve budgeting, forecasting and management reporting \n
- Clarify roles, responsibilities and decision-making authority \n
- Strengthen ecommerce, product and promotional planning \n
- Improve margin, stock productivity and operational efficiency \n
- Assess the team structure and leadership capability \n
- Produce and begin delivering a two-to-three-year growth plan \n
- Take primary responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business \n
You may currently be a General Manager, Head of Operations, Commercial Director, Ecommerce Director, Trading Director or COO within a smaller business.
\nYou will bring:
\n- \n
- Senior commercial or operational experience within ecommerce, retail or consumer products \n
- Responsibility for a P&L, business unit or significant budget \n
- Evidence of delivering profitable growth \n
- Strong commercial and financial judgement \n
- Experience across ecommerce, product, stock, fulfilment or supply chain \n
- Experience leading people across multiple functions \n
- Confidence working with budgets, forecasts and commercial KPIs \n
- A data-led, practical and execution-focused approach \n
- Experience within an entrepreneurial or founder-led environment \n
Experience within activewear, fashion, apparel, footwear, beauty or wellness would be advantageous but is not essential.
Your leadership style:\nYou will be commercially sharp, hands-on and comfortable with detail.
\nYou will also be:
\n- \n
- Ambitious but low-ego \n
- Approachable, direct and fair \n
- Organised and decisive \n
- Able to challenge constructively \n
- Calm under pressure \n
- Comfortable working without large-company infrastructure \n
- Motivated by building a business over the long term \n
- \n
- £60,000-£80,000 base salary \n
- Performance-related bonus \n
- Pension and company benefits \n
- Significant autonomy across the business \n
- Direct working relationship with the Founder \n
- Potential progression to Managing Director and equity options \n
