Multi-Trade Operative

Are you a Multi-Trade Operative, seeking a new permanent opportunity. My client has an immediate requirement for a Multi-Trade Operative to join their Property Services Team based in Bracknell. The successful applicant will deliver an efficient, compliant, and consistently high standard of repairs, throughout the assigned area.Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Competent to complete a wide variety carpentry, plumbing and other trade tasks at multiskilled level and in accordance with the Skills Awards L2/3 NVQ Diploma in Maintenance Operations or equivalent.
\n
• Ensure that work is carried out to a professional standard, adhering to building regulations, codes of practice or best practice.
\n
• Liaise with customers and other colleagues, as appropriate, to ensure all relevant individuals are aware of progress and action taken.
\n
• Provide a high-quality service to customers and maintain a good customer relationship.
\n
• Always ensure that all works comply with relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post.
\n
• Use and apply a ‘Schedule of Rates’ for job costing repairs and ensuring repair orders are varied to correct value.
\n
• Be available to cover out of hours emergency call out in accordance with the rota.
\n
• Complete and maintain paperwork and records accurately in accordance with policies and procedures.
\n
• Competently use a smart phone and tablet device to accurately record progress and completion of jobs, timesheets, material use in accordance with systems, policies, and procedures
\n
• Procure job related materials through our main partnering suppliers in accordance with policies
\n
• Maintain a comprehensive van stock of materials, completing works in the most cost-effective manner.
\n

Requirements:\n

\n
• Minimum NVQ level 2, or time served experience in either carpentry, masonry and/or plumbing with proven competency in non-core trades.
\n
• Experience of working as part of a trade team delivering to tight timescales
\n
• Full Driving licence (clean)
\n
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work.
\n
• To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers this role is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
