Learning Support Assistant – Ware:

A specialist SEND school in Ware is seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its team. The school supports children with a range of learning difficulties, including pupils with moderate, severe and complex needs. The role involves creating a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop their skills, confidence and independence.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those with moderate, severe or complex learning difficulties, is essential
  • \n
  • A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • \n
  • Passion for helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally
  • \n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • \n
  • Commitment to promoting a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
  • \n
\n

Key responsibilities:

    \n
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with learning difficulties, helping them to access learning activities and develop independence
  • \n
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised support based on individual pupil needs and support plans
  • \n
  • Encourage pupils’ communication, social development and confidence through positive interactions and tailored activities
  • \n
  • Assist with classroom routines and help create a calm, structured and supportive environment where all pupils can learn and thrive
  • \n
\n
