Network Engineer£550 per day (Outside IR35)Initial 6 Month ContractLondon (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week)OverviewWe're looking for an experienced Network Engineer / Network Designer to join a major enterprise transformation programme delivering large-scale network and security projects across a complex hybrid infrastructure. This is a project-focused role with no BAU or operational support responsibilities. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing and documenting network changes across cloud and on-premise environments, working with a broad range of modern networking, security and automation technologies. • Produce High and Low Level Designs (HLDs/LLDs), network diagrams, and technical documentation.
\n
• Design and implement enterprise network solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
\n
• Configure and deliver changes across Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Azure networking technologies.
\n
• Implement routing, segmentation, cloud connectivity, IPSec VPNs, Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute), and Zero Trust solutions.
\n
• Contribute to Cisco ACI, Juniper Mist, and F5 LTM deployments.
\n
• Develop implementation plans, migration runbooks, testing documentation, and technical handover artefacts.
\n
• Support enterprise network transformation, cloud migration, and infrastructure modernisation programmes.
\n
• Automate network configuration and deployment using Python, Terraform, GitHub, or similar tools.
\n
• Maintain accurate technical documentation to enterprise standards.
\n

Skills & Experience\n

\n
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise network solutions.
\n
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, QoS, IPSec VPN).
\n
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Juniper Mist, and enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, and/or Juniper SRX).
\n
• Strong Azure networking experience, including hybrid connectivity and cloud security.
\n
• Experience implementing Zero Trust solutions using Zscaler ZIA and/or ZPA.
\n
• Experience with F5 LTM is desirable.
\n
• Automation experience with Python, Terraform, GitHub, and/or Ansible.
\n
• Experience delivering network transformation and migration projects.
\n
• Excellent technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
