REED Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area to recruit a talented and dedicated Maths & Science Teacher for a full-time, one-year fixed-term position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about Mathematics and Science and has the experience and subject knowledge to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Maths and Science lessons, creating a positive learning environment and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Maths and Science to students across KS3 and KS4.
\n
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
\n
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
\n
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
\n
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes.
\n
• Contribute to departmental development and the wider life of the school.
\n

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

\n
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
\n
• Have recent experience teaching Mathematics and Science within a secondary school setting.
\n
• Be confident teaching both subjects up to GCSE level (KS4).
\n
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.
\n
• Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring students.
\n
• Possess strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
\n

Salary

£150 - £250 per day, dependent on experience, qualifications and suitability for the role.
