Handyperson - Secure Site (BPSS Required)

Role Overview

We are recruiting a reliable and experienced Handyperson to support Kier Construction on a secure site at HMP Channing's Wood. This is a temporary position requiring BPSS clearance and experience working within a controlled environment. You will carry out a range of maintenance, preparation, and temporary works to support ongoing construction activity.Pay Rates £14.39 - £19.00

Key Responsibilities

• Concrete repairs - Filling holes and patching damaged areas.
\n
• Trade preparation - Preparing materials and areas for follow-on trades.
\n
• Temporary carpentry - Installing temporary doors, formwork, and similar items.
\n
• General site support - Completing tasks as directed by site management.
\n

Requirements

\n
• BPSS clearance (must be completed prior to start or evidence of progress).
\n
• CSCS Card: Green or Blue (trade card preferred).
\n
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a handy person.
\n
• Tools: Basic carpentry/bricklaying toolkit required.
\n
• PPE: 6-point safety helmet with 4-point chin strap, safety glasses, gloves, unbranded hi-vis, and safety boots.
