Join a dedicated team in Plymouth as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a specialist provision. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs, including severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide personal care to students as required, ensuring dignity and respect.
\n
• Support engaging sensory-based learning activities tailored to individual student needs.
\n
• Collaborate closely with therapists and support staff to enhance educational outcomes.
\n
• Encourage and facilitate communication among students using alternative methods such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and Makaton.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in care or SEN settings is preferred, demonstrating a capability to handle complex needs.
\n
• A calm, resilient, and hands-on approach to daily tasks and challenges.
\n
• Willingness to undertake necessary training to meet the demands of the role effectively.
