We are recruiting on behalf of our client, they are a well-established construction specialist with an excellent reputation for delivering large-scale commercial projects across the UK. As a result of ongoing growth, they are looking to recruit a Project Administrator to join their busy team and play a key role in supporting project operations, procurement, compliance, and site administration.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator looking to develop their career within the construction industry, supporting projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Day-to-day of the role:

    \n
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring project folders remain accurate and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
  • \n
  • Support compliance processes and maintain records required for project delivery and handover.
  • \n
  • Assist the procurement team with issuing purchase orders and tracking supplier orders.
  • \n
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and project teams to coordinate material deliveries and identify potential delays.
  • \n
  • Maintain the plant hire register and update project records accordingly.
  • \n
  • Coordinate site-specific health and safety documentation and compliance records.
  • \n
  • Monitor and log site labour hours.
  • \n
  • Maintain training and competency records
  • \n
  • Cross-reference supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes to support accurate cost tracking.
  • \n
  • Update and maintain the company's CRM and project management systems with accurate client, supplier and project information.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Previous administration experience within construction, subcontracting, engineering, manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • \n
  • Experience maintaining records, databases, or document control systems.
  • \n
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers, clients and site teams.
  • \n
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • \n
  • Understanding of construction compliance and health & safety procedures would be beneficial.
  • \n
