We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support students in achieving their academic, social, and emotional potential within a positive learning environment.
Learning Support Assistant- Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Support students in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. \n
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities. \n
- Help students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours. \n
- Provide additional support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where required. \n
- Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual student needs. \n
- Support classroom behaviour management and encourage positive interactions. \n
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff. \n
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and administrative duties. \n
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times. \n
- Support students during breaktimes, school trips, and extracurricular activities where required. \n
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals. \n
- \n
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. \n
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Patient, caring, and supportive approach. \n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team. \n
- Good literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills. \n
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare. \n
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). \n

- Experience supporting students with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs. \n
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work. \n
- Behaviour management or safeguarding training. \n
- \n
