Assistant Town Planner Swindon (Hybrid Working) Full-Time | Permanent
\nThe Opportunity An independent, well-established planning and design consultancy is seeking an Assistant Town Planner to join its growing team in Swindon.
\nOperating for over three decades, this multidisciplinary consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering planning, architecture and environmental services across the UK. Their work spans residential, commercial, education and mixed-use developments, supporting clients from early feasibility through to delivery.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team environment where planners work closely with architects, urban designers and environmental specialists on a wide variety of projects.
\nThe Role You will support senior planners across multiple projects, gaining exposure to all aspects of the planning process.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\n- \n
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals \n
- Undertaking site appraisals and planning research \n
- Preparing reports and supporting documentation \n
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders \n
- Supporting project coordination within a multidisciplinary team \n
About You
\n- \n
- RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (or working towards) \n
- Some relevant experience, such as a placement year or previous role in consultancy or local authority \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills \n
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail \n
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn \n
