Prospero Teaching is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist independent school in Melksham for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school that provides education for pupils aged 4-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside pupils with complex medical needs. \nAs a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils. Working within small class sizes and alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where pupils can develop both academically and personally.
The Role\n- \n
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs. \n
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and engagement. \n
- Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs. \n
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider school team. \n
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to personalised learning plans. \n
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing, resilience, and achievement. \n

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. \n
- Experience teaching within a primary setting. \n
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their potential. \n
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills. \n
- A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to teaching. \n
- Previous experience within SEND, SEMH, or specialist education is desirable but not essential. \n
