Role: Ride-On Mower Team Leader

Location: Hailsham, West Sussex

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: £13.00 - £14.30 per hour + Holiday Pay

Contract: Ongoing Temporary, Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Ride-On Mower Team Leader to join one of our longstanding clients based in Hailsham, West Sussex. You must be available for immediate start.

We are looking for reliable and hardworking candidates with previous grounds maintenance experience who are available to start immediately. This is a hands-on outdoor role requiring confidence operating ride-on lawn mowers and supporting the day-to-day running of a small team. Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

The Requirements:

\n
• Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
\n
• Previous experience operating ride-on lawn mowers is essential.
\n
• Previous grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or outdoor maintenance experience is required.
\n
• Must be available for an immediate start.
\n
• Experience leading or supporting a small team is advantageous.
\n
• Confident using grounds maintenance tools and machinery.
\n
• Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures.
\n
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
\n
• Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
\n
• A positive and flexible team player.
\n

The Role:

\n
• Operating ride-on lawn mowers across verges, parks, roundabouts, and public spaces.
\n
• Leading and supporting a small grounds maintenance team on daily tasks.
\n
• Carrying out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and pruning duties.
\n
• Ensuring all grounds maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard.
\n
• Conducting daily checks of machinery and reporting any faults or issues.
\n
• Supporting with litter picking and maintaining clean public areas.
\n
• Working across Hailsham and surrounding areas as required.
\n
