The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.

This is a new role and we are looking for someone who can support with planning, organising and leading on a number of events and enrichment activities. The successful candidate will also be overseeing the running of the Students’ Union, Student Voice, College Ambassadors and give advice and guidance to students in need of financial support by supporting the Student Finance Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To assist the Group Head of Student Engagement, Finance and Well-being in developing and co-ordinating a number of key events for Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group
\n

\n
• To supervise the day to day running of the Students’ Union. Overseeing Students’ Union events and projects alongside the Students Union President and Group Executive under the guidance of the Group Head of Student Engagement, Finance and Well-being.
\n
• To assist the Student Finance Team in peak periods and as and when required or directed.
\n

Required Skills and Experience:

\n
• Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in Business, Business Admin, Customer Service
\n
• Skills including good communication, negotiation and time management
\n
• Is able to build trust and a good rapport with young people while maintaining professional boundaries
\n
• Ideally has previous youth, educational or recreational experience
\n
