We are seeking a dedicated Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join our supportive team at a vibrant secondary school. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Work directly with students to provide emotional support through planned sessions, using strategies tailored to individual needs. \n
- Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to identify students who would benefit from emotional literacy support and develop personalised plans. \n
- Implement interventions to promote emotional awareness, resilience, and social skills. \n
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. \n
- Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in emotional literacy support. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- ELSA Qualification \n
- Experience in a support role within a school environment, preferably with a focus on emotional and psychological support. \n
- Understanding of the challenges faced by secondary school students. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage empathetically with students. \n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently. \n
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of emotional literacy support. \n
