HGV Class 1 Driver

Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing work with a new client based in Livingston

Our client runs a busy supermarket distribution operation with two daily runs, typically making two deliveries per run, varying by route and area. The work involves palletised and cage deliveries, with goods loaded and unloaded using tail lifts and loading bays.

What's on offer?

• Ongoing position with the opportunity for permanent employment
\n
• 5 shifts per week on a rotating rota - Monday to Saturday
\n
• Shifts start from 3am (minimum 10-hour shifts)
\n
• 17 per hour + shift allowance (1.80 to 2.71 for days & 3.36 for nights)
\n
• Overtime available at 24.28 per hour
\n

To be considered as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

\n
• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
\n
• A minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience
\n
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
\n
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsements
\n

A 4-hour paid assessment and induction is required before starting, which includes a driving assessment, site induction, drug and alcohol test.
