Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer Elite Sourcing is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering innovative low-carbon energy, heat network and electrical infrastructure projects across London and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed electrical design through to construction, commissioning and handover. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, taking ownership of projects while developing your technical expertise within the distributed energy sector. Key Responsibilities As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will: * Produce concept and detailed electrical design for low-carbon energy and heat network projects. * Support the delivery of electrical engineering projects from design through to commissioning. * Work closely with suppliers, contractors and the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery. * Undertake Electrical Project Engineer responsibilities across multiple live projects. * Review project performance and contribute to technical reporting. * Attend project sites across London as required while working from the London office. Requirements The successful Electrical Design Engineer will have: * Degree in Electrical Engineering. * Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer. * Experience delivering projects through the full engineering lifecycle, from design through to installation and commissioning. * Strong understanding of LV power systems, transformers, electrical distribution and electrical infrastructure. * Experience using Amtech, AutoCAD or Revit would be advantageous. * Knowledge of heat networks, district energy, heat pumps, boilers or renewable energy projects would be beneficial. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to work alongside suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
