Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Planner / Project Controller to join a growing Project Control function, supporting the successful delivery of complex programmes through effective planning, scheduling, cost management and project performance analysis. This role will involve working closely with Project Managers and multi-functional teams to develop and maintain project plans, assess project health, manage risks and opportunities, and ensure accurate project control information is available to support key business decisions. Key Responsibilities: * Support the validation of project assessments, identifying issues, risks and areas requiring corrective action. * Develop, maintain and review project schedules in line with planning principles and delivery requirements. * Lead the creation and management of Integrated Baseline schedules to support successful programme delivery. * Validate project costs to go and support Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews. * Perform Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and support risk and opportunity management activities. * Analyse project performance data, including schedule, resource and cost information. * Support bid teams by ensuring effective project planning and control processes are considered during new business activities. * Maintain accurate project control reporting and ensure data quality across project documentation. The ideal candidate would have: * Experience within project planning, project controls or project management environments. * Experience working with project structures, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and Organisation Breakdown Structures (OBS). * Experience analysing project performance data, including schedule, resource and cost information. * Knowledge of project management toolsets such as SAP, ARM, Primavera or Oracle Unifier. * Understanding of baseline management and change control processes. * Experience supporting Estimate at Completion / Forecast Cost at Completion reviews. * Knowledge of risk and opportunity management, including What-If analysis. * Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multi-functional teams. The ideal candidate must have: * Experience creating and maintaining project plans, from detailed planning through to summary-level milestone delivery plans. * Ability to perform and analyse Schedule Risk Analysis, Critical Path Analysis and Earned Value Management (EVM). * Ability to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions and drive improvements. * Understanding of resource-loaded schedules. * Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
