Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver Our client is a well-established engineering business supplying specialist equipment and services to customers throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their Purchasing & Warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and successful business offering a varied warehouse role with no evening or weekend work. The Role Working as part of a busy warehouse operation, you'll play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and customer service. Key Responsibilities * Receiving and booking in deliveries. * Unloading, checking, labelling and storing incoming goods. * Reporting shortages or damaged goods promptly. * Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch. * Loading and unloading vehicles using counterbalance and reach forklift trucks. * Safely storing products within warehouse racking and designated storage areas. * Carrying out stock checks and supporting inventory accuracy. * Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment. * Carrying out routine checks on warehouse equipment. * Working closely with colleagues across the warehouse and purchasing functions. * Following company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements at all times. Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: * Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment. * Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licences. * Good understanding of stock control and warehouse procedures. * Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel). * Strong attention to detail. * Good organisational and time management skills. * A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement. * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. * A full UK driving licence.
