SEMH Teacher - Wakefield Area: Wakefield, West Yorkshire Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Rate: £160 - £230 per day (dependent on experience) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm About the School We are working with a specialist provision in Wakefield that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where students are encouraged to develop both academically and personally. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to make a real difference while working alongside a supportive and experienced team. As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs. Create a positive and supportive learning environment. Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement. Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies where required. Work closely with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals. Build positive relationships that promote confidence and resilience.What We're Looking For: QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification. Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour. Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills. A patient, resilient, and proactive approach. Experience in a specialist or alternative provision setting is desirable.To be eligible, you must: Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent qualification. Have the Right to Work in the UK.
