R&D Tax Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced R&D specialist to step into an R&D Tax Manager role in a growing and ambitious accountancy and advisory firm.

This role offers the chance to become a key part of an established R&D Tax team, managing a varied client portfolio whilst helping to drive the continued growth of the service line. You'll take ownership of the full R&D claims process, work closely with accountants and tax specialists, and have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, grow client relationships and progress your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

\nR&D Tax Manager Responsibilities\n
\n

\n
• Manage R&D Tax Relief claims from initial enquiry through to submission.
\n
• Take ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
\n
• Prepare detailed and technically robust R&D Tax reports.
\n
• Calculate and review qualifying R&D expenditure and claim values.
\n
• Liaise directly with clients to understand projects and gather supporting evidence.
\n
• Keep up to date with legislation and HMRC guidance surrounding R&D Tax Relief.
\n
• Support the continued growth and development of the R&D Tax team.
\n
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

\nR&D Tax Manager Attributes\n
\n

\n
• A minimum of 3 years' experience managing R&D Tax Relief claims.
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of UK R&D Tax Relief legislation.
\n
• Experience managing multiple client assignments simultaneously.
\n
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce detailed technical reports.
\n
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Commercially aware and passionate about delivering excellent client service.
\n
• Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
\n
• Comfortable using technology and working within a modern digital environment.
\n
