Finance Officer

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Officer on behalf of a well-established organisation based on the Fylde Coast. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a busy finance team and play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
\nThe Role
\nAs Finance Officer, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and coordinating insurance claims administration. This is a varied position that will see you working closely with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure the smooth running of the finance function.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accounts payable and receivable ledgers. \n
- Preparing supplier payments and ensuring payment deadlines are met. \n
- Reconciling supplier statements, petty cash, and financial records. \n
- Supporting daily revenue reconciliations. \n
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. \n
- Assisting with external audit preparation and financial reporting. \n
- Producing regular and ad-hoc financial reports. \n
- Coordinating insurance claims documentation and liaising with third-party claims handlers. \n
- Supporting continuous improvement of finance systems and processes. \n
- Collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries. \n
To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar finance role. \n
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. \n
- Strong Excel and accounting system knowledge. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. \n
- The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines. \n
- Strong communication and organisational skills. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- AAT qualification or equivalent. \n
- Experience supporting audits and producing financial reports. \n
- Experience coordinating insurance claims or similar administrative processes. \n
