Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Birmingham from September 2026.

This is a long-term, full-time opportunity, ideal for a confident HLTA who can take on additional responsibilities and support across the school.

About the role:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
\n
• Provide targeted intervention support to small groups
\n
• Support class teachers with planning and classroom management
\n
• Step in to cover classes where required
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Proven experience working as an HLTA or strong TA with cover experience
\n
• HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience) is highly desirable
\n
• Confident leading whole-class sessions independently
\n
• Strong behaviour management skills
\n
• A proactive, flexible approach and ability to build relationships quickly
\n
