HLTA - PPA Cover (Part-Time) | Primary School

A welcoming and supportive primary school is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover across the school on a part-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and adaptable HLTA to deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups, ensuring continuity of learning while class teachers are on PPA time.

• Wednesday: Full Day
\n
• Thursday: Full Day
\n
• Friday: Morning Only
\n

\n
• Lead whole-class teaching using pre-prepared lesson plans
\n
• Deliver engaging lessons across different primary age groups
\n
• Maintain strong classroom management and positive learning environments
\n
• Support pupils’ progress and uphold high standards of teaching and learning
\n

\n
• Nursery – Year 2
\n
• Years 3–4
\n
• Years 5–6
\n

\n
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
\n
• Confident teaching and managing a full class independently
\n
• Strong behaviour management skills
\n
• Flexible, organised, and able to adapt to different age groups
\n
• Experience across primary phases is desirable
\n
