Job Title: Senior Estimator – Commercial Painting & Decorating

Office Based: Belfast (Site visits typically 2-3 Days per week)

Remuneration: £50,000 + Performance related bonus

The role of Estimator – Commercial flooring will involve:

\n
• Senior Estimator position dealing with range of commercial and residential flooring projects including painting & decorating, fit-out, strip-out and refurb
\n
• Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
\n
• Producing formal quotations to customers
\n
• Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
\n
• Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
\n
• Contacting customers, dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
\n
• Negotiating with clients, tier-1 contractors, project managers, quantity surveyors and internal estimating team
\n

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Commercial flooring with:

\n
• Must have 5+ years Estimating experience within the construction sector
\n
• Highly advantageous to have experience within flooring, fit-out, painting, decorating or come from a closely related background
\n
• Would be an ideal to have experience dealing with Tier-1 contractors
\n
• Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
\n
• Ideally would have a quantity surveying degree
\n
• Stable career, highly organised with good attention to detail
\n
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
\n
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
\n
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
\n
