\nTara Professional Education are working in partnership with a highly regarded and inclusive primary school in South London to appoint an exceptional SEND Primary Teacher to lead its Reception-aged SEND provision from September.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about inclusive practice and is ready to become a key member of the school's Early Years team, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
\nThe Role
\nThis is much more than a classroom teaching position. The successful candidate will play a leading role in delivering high-quality Early Years provision for pupils with additional needs, helping to create an engaging, nurturing and structured environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
\nYou will:

- Lead a specialist Reception-aged SEND class \n
- Deliver creative, engaging and highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs \n
- Support pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language needs, communication difficulties and a variety of developmental and learning needs \n
- Create an inclusive classroom that promotes communication, independence, confidence and curiosity \n
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, the SEND team and senior leaders \n
- Take an active role in developing and leading the Early Years SEND provision \n
About You
\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic and reflective teacher who:
\n- \n
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential \n
- Has experience teaching within Early Years or Key Stage 1 \n
- Has a strong understanding of inclusive teaching and supporting pupils with SEND \n
- Has experience supporting children with Autism, communication needs and a range of additional learning needs \n
- Is confident leading a team and helping to develop high-quality Early Years practice \n
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues \n
- Has high expectations alongside a warm, nurturing and child-centred approach \n

Recruitment Process
\nSuccessful applicants will initially meet with a consultant from Tara Education before progressing through the school's recruitment process.
\nThe successful candidate will also be invited to attend an informal visit to the school before the Summer Holidays, providing an opportunity to meet the team, experience the learning environment and ensure the role is the right fit for both parties.
