We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chester. This role involves supporting pupils with additional learning needs and helping them access education in a positive and inclusive environment.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant, or SEND Support Worker seeking a rewarding role within primary education.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
  • \n
  • Support children with special educational needs.
  • \n
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation, routines, and positive behaviour strategies.
  • \n
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to deliver tailored support.
  • \n
  • Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons.
  • \n
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of individual pupils.
  • \n
Requirements\n

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN/SEND.
  • \n
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • \n
  • Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting vulnerable learners.
  • \n
