Purpose of the Role To deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire a love of literature and language, raise attainment, and support students to achieve their full academic potential.

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
\n
• Teach a range of literature and language topics in line with the national curriculum.
\n
• Assess, track, and support student progress effectively.
\n
• Provide feedback to improve student outcomes.
\n
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
\n
• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
\n
• Support extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or writing enrichment.
\n
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and high standards of behaviour.
\n

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
\n
• Degree in English or a related subject.
\n
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
\n
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
\n
• Enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to raising achievement.
\n
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
