THE LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER ROLE
\nAs a Lead Software Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, helping to deliver high-quality software whilst supporting and mentoring a team of engineers. You'll work closely with stakeholders to influence technical decisions, define engineering standards and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance software development with technical oversight, coaching developers, reviewing code and driving continuous improvement across the engineering function.

- Significant commercial experience as a Software Engineer \n
- Previous experience leading or mentoring software development teams \n
- Strong understanding of software architecture and modern engineering principles \n
- Experience delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions \n
- Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills \n
- Passion for coaching and developing engineers \n
- Happy working 3-5 days per week on-site in Lincoln \n
